There are certain parameters which can be set by the pharmacy during the implementation and upgrade process. We have set a system default for each setting, based on our past experience.
Your implementation manager will send you a configuration workbook to review and decide on your parameters. There's a description of each parameter and our recommended default below.
Please note that changes to your parameters outside of implementation or an upgrade may incur a cost.
Client Timezone
The default timezone for message timing. We recommend choosing the timezone where most of your pharmacies are located.

Number of days after fill to send the final aging pick up notification (Return to Stock Message). We recommend sending the final reminder the day before you restock the prescription.

Promise Time Buffer: Global (Mins)
The amount of time (mins) added to the default pickup preference (current time or next business day) to generate the prescription promise time displayed to the customer when the refill request submitted.
Controls:
1. the time gap on the same day until a script can be picked up. When the Mckesson minimum buffer time is present, this is added together to determine to total time presented to the user.
2. the time gap between the order placed and store closing under which a script will move to the next day. When the Mckesson minimum buffer time is present, this is added together to determine to total time before store closing when the script will be pushed to the next day.

Promise Time Buffer: Pharmacy (NCPDP #)
A specific pharmacy that requires a buffer in addition to the global promise time buffer. This is set using Pharmacy NCPDP # in your McKesson system.

The additional buffer time for the specific pharmacy defined above by the Pharmacy Promise Time Buffer (Pharmacy). Set in your McKesson system. Controls:
1. the time gap on the same day until a script can be picked up,
2. the time gap between the order placed and store closing under which a script will move to the next day,
3. AND the time gap on the next day between store opening and script ready.
