mscripts allows two types of transferring: internal and external. Internal transfers are those that occur within your pharmacy chain (store to store). External transfers are transfers that take place between another pharmacy chain and your organization.
Users can transfer prescriptions from external pharmacies (not associated with your organization) to your pharmacy using the Transfer functionality in the app and web. Users can choose to transfer one prescription or ask your pharmacist to transfer all of them.
In order to set up this functionality, we'll need to know if you want your transfer requests sent to the pharmacy via fax or to an email address at the pharmacy. The fax or email must be a local number/email for each of your pharmacy locations. If you choose email as your transfer method, and the emails are going to an individual's account, rather than a pharmacy account, we recommend that you send us an up-to-date list of the email recipients on a quarterly basis. Please let us know which delivery method you prefer.
Next, let us know which pharmacies your users might be transfering prescriptions from. We generally recommend including the top 5-10 pharmacies in your area.
Finally, you’ll need to provide us with the store data for each of your pharmacy locations. Complete and return the spreadsheet provided to you to us.
If you prefer to transfer prescriptions via email address, please provide your store data with the appropriate email address in a spreadsheet.
Once the system is live, the transfer requests will arrive via the method you have chosen at the local pharmacy where the user has previously filled their scripts. The pharmacist will then need to contact the pharmacy where the script was previously being filled, i.e. they would call the Walgreens or CVS (etc.) where the script is being transfered from, and share the patient details over the phone, in order to initiate the transfer.
Users can transfer prescriptions from store to store within your pharmacy chain by chosing a different store in the refill process.
During your implementation process, we'll configure your preference from Pharmacy Ops and select transfer requests to be sent via fax or email.
Send us your contact list via email using the submit button, or provide it to us using the mscripts Asana project portal
